The very first edition of the LIFE (French Chess Engineering League) competition took place between November 2020 and February 2021.
Organized by BNEI, on the initiative of the ENSEEIHT (National School of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Hydraulics and Telecommunications) chess club. The BNEI in France, an association under the law of 1901, is the only organization representing student engineers.
32 engineering schools from all over France have participated in this competition, through online matches (chess.com), in teams of 4.
The different formats of confrontations: Fast, Blitz and even Bughouse, to determine which teams will qualify for the final stages.
After several months of competition, LIFE ended on Monday, February 15th, with a victory for the Polytechnique team. ENSAE and ECE Paris complete this magnificent podium.
